I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Western Michigan University, and later my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, focusing on clinical social work and mental health. I currently have my own private practice within an established group practice. My office is located within Portal Point Counseling in Wyoming, MI.

I have several years experience working with individuals with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. As a clinician, I believe in using diverse approaches for treatment. I often use small parts of several best practices.

I also have extensive experience working in clinical research. Having this background means that I keep up with research on best practices and that I rely heavily on evidence-based treatments. I make an intentional choice to use treatment components that have been shown to be effective by peer-reviewed science.

I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and other approaches. I believe that individuals are far more than their diagnosis code; I will work with you to come up with a treatment plan that will work for you and your life. We are a team working together to get you where you want to be.
